歡迎到香港的Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden參加，
Get involved with the Permaculture Festival 2012
This First Permaculture Festival 2012 will take place on 17-18 November 2012 at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, Hong Kong.
The Festival is not only a forum for Permaculture experts but, in the inclusive spirit of permaculture, is open to everyone who is inspired to live a deeper relationship in harmony with our environment.
The Festival is a place to meet, share knowledge, ideas and wisdom. With you we will create a festival of sharing and learning together. Real value is created when we meet and share our gifts. We will have practical activities, workshops and tours for sharing with and learning from each other.
Many workshops will be practical and may cover:
· edible forests
· community farming
· aquaponics and other exciting solutions
· a sheet mulch garden
· a permaculture small space (eg balcony) garden
· green bookshop
You will find a fair-trade market to exchange and sell your own green products. You who love to grow seeds and seedlings can join a seed swap workshop OR just bring some to share.
You are warmly invited to
· hold a workshop about your permaculture project
· open a booth at the fair-trade market
· or, in other ways, contribute to the Festival.
There are so many different things happening and developing right now, this is an opportunity for us to learn from each other and realize the diversity and richness in our community.
We need the arts as well – so bring your musical instruments and busk, or a teach a dance, street theatre is welcome, and so is your choir - singing green songs.
To apply for a booth or run a workshop/activity session, please fill in Festival Application Form.
The goal of the Festival is to model permaculture principles and these will be the guidelines in processing your application. The critical principles for the Festival are:
· Co-operate not compete
· Act locally to impact globally
· Grow food where you are
· The problem is the solution
· Bring food production back to cities
· Capture and store energy
· Live and work in harmony with nature
· People-care Earth-care, Fair-share
We believe your participation will be the source of inspiration for others.
If convergence participants from oveseas want to come to the Festival, we recommend you staying at Kadoorie Centre of The University of Hong Kong (KC) on 17-18 November 2012. KC locates at less than 1km away from the Festival venue. Please refer to Convergence Application Form for details about booking of accommodation and meals at KC.
